Ορίστε η μετάφραση στα αγγλικά:
We will need:
4 carob rusks
1 yogurt (200 g) of your choice
Oranges and mandarins, ideally
A little cinnamon
A nice, deep, transparent bowl
Method:
A few hours before consuming it,
place the ingredients in the deep transparent bowl,
in the order they were presented.
That is: at the bottom, the rusks; then the yogurt. Peel and slice the oranges into crosswise rounds and separate the mandarins into their natural segments (hoping they don’t have seeds—but even if they do, c’est la vie!).
Sprinkle with a little cinnamon (not too much, so it doesn’t become bitter).
Consume after a few hours.
Tip:
If we want to make it sweeter, we can add a little liquid stevia (the healthier version) or some bergamot spoon sweet (in that case, we omit the cinnamon, as the aroma will come from the spoon sweet).
Why do we prepare it a few hours in advance?
Because carob rusks are hard and need time to absorb the yogurt’s moisture and soften.
Why do we want a transparent bowl?
So we can see it, not just taste it. It’s a feast of beautiful winter colors.
Taste, sight, smell—all the senses are satisfied. This is very important when we want to pamper ourselves, whether during relaxed moments or stressful ones (for example, at work, where we want to boost our energy).
The story behind the idea:
At work, we find ourselves in the middle of a very difficult project that we need to complete. Blood glucose drops daily, right in front of the computer screen. So I thought that the snack in between meals should be smartly structured, so it can give a strong boost to the body and replenish that lost energy.
Carob is a superfood; these particular rusks are sweet without being a dessert. Yet they satisfy the body’s craving for something sweet. Yogurt—the miraculous one. The citrus fruits are from our own yard. Store-bought ones are perfectly fine too. Cinnamon pairs wonderfully with them and is very beneficial! (I thought of bergamot in the alternative version because, on the one hand, it’s my favorite spoon sweet, and on the other, because it’s a citrus fruit and very aromatic!)
You’ll see—it will remind you of a light cheesecake!!!
Enjoy responsibly—or rather… just enjoy!
